In this end-of-year video, Upswing Fund Director Mark Long, DSW shares a personal message to highlight why our partners’ work is so important, and why we all need to commit to supporting adolescent mental health.
With World Mental Health Day taking place earlier in October, our team has taken some time to reflect on the past two years of our work at The Upswing Fund.
Moving forward from this month, I hope that each of you will follow the example of our youth leaders and partners—take action for your own mental health, support issues that matter to you, and use your vote to hold elected officials accountable for taking action—or run for office yourself. And reach out to encourage a partner to join you.
Sierra Fox-Woods, Program Officer with The Upswing Fund, reflected on last week's Mental Health Youth Action Forum at the White House, and how it showed the power of meaningful youth engagement and culturally specific care.
Last year we funded 92 organizations across 33 states & D.C, helping 127,000+ adolescents access mental health services and well-being care they would have otherwise not received! Learn more about our partners’ impact.
This initiative, taking place in early 2022, will put young people at the center of the solution and empower them to directly support positive mental health and well-being for themselves and their peers.
