Marie Mokuba

Marie Mokuba is a Congolese-Cameroonian-American human rights advocate with a deep commitment to gender equality, youth empowerment, and global social justice. She holds a MA in Gender and Peacebuilding from the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica, and a BA in Transnational Peace and Justice Studies from Goucher College.

Marie's advocacy is shaped by her lived experience as a survivor of childhood violence, which fuels her passion for creating inclusive, transformative spaces for healing and empowerment. Her work spans continents, and she has traveled to over 20 countries, often sharing her reflections as a Black woman traveler through her blog.

Outside of her advocacy work, Marie enjoys crocheting and spending time with her pet bearded dragon, Pabu.
