Bipasha Ray is Vice President, Scalable Solutions for Panorama Global. In this role, she helps social entrepreneurs focus on their missions and implement their work through fiscal sponsorship and other partnership models. She also co-leads Panorama’s work to support sector learning and knowledge sharing among social impact leaders across the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
Bipasha combines nearly 20 years of experience in journalism, human rights, political philanthropy, and policy research, with a passion for supporting activists and leaders working towards a more just and equitable society. Before joining Panorama, she was the Project Director running the New Executives Fund and the Contested Spaces Initiative at the Open Society Foundations, where she focused on new nonprofit leadership and experiential learning. She joined the Foundations in 2008 to help launch and scale its Open Society Fellowship program. Previously, she was a research associate at the Project on Defense Alternatives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and an Associated Press reporter in Boston and Philadelphia.
Originally from Mumbai, Bipasha has a master’s degree in International Politics from Queens University Belfast in Northern Ireland funded by a full Rotary Ambassadorial scholarship, and a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from North Dakota State University.
Bipasha serves as a board member for Riverside Language Program, an immigrant integration and English language education center in New York City, and as a helpline volunteer for Sakhi, supporting domestic violence survivors of South Asian descent. She is a 2022 Women inPower Fellow at the 92Y Belfer Center for Innovation and Social Impact.
When not working, Bipasha enjoys exploring new countries, cultures, and cuisines with her husband and twin 8-year-old boys.
